Mood room : Exhibition hall for Morphosis

Lighting Design (individual project)
Consultant : Prof. Onnen

This mood room is the entrance hall for the exhibition of the selected architect, Morphosis.
Morphosis is a group of architects from America who create the unexpectable architectures all over the worlds.

Design concept :
I picked up the word "unexpectable" to represent Morphosis and designed the lighting that created unexpectable moods in the space.
In the simple long trapzoid-shape room, floor, wall, and ceiling are devided systematically into many triangle white light boxes povided with the scene control system.

The unexpectable moods by lighting scenes
scene1: illusive
At first sight when people enter the room, they recognize a room as a shallow space, and then change to a deeper space

scene2: distorted
When people walk to the middle the room, the light scene changes and makes people perceive the sloped floor and slanted wall and ceiling.

scene3 : realize the real
When people walked deeper in the room, the light scene will change and show the real space which is only the right angle room.
